Celebrating Curves

Everything about this structure appealed to us: views of a prestigious marina, containing within it a 270sqm unit, located on a corner, purely defined by a unique curved shell.

The challenge presented to us here was to combine the straight with the curvy and the resulting space flows with individually crafted furniture, lacing the space together in a fluent fashion. The material choice was a delicate affair. The elegance of the prestigious location and the sheer scale was carefully balanced by introducing raw concretes, raw steel and a solid industrial touch. Marble cladding were kept in their raw state where possible while the layout was kept clean and open. Here, the individual pieces cannot stand alone, and united they bind the structure and its interior together.

The use of textile helped section the areas and this creative solution allows the different areas to function naturally. The result is a calming, almost slight breeze, allowing the mind to settle but maintain a calm motion as it wonders through the open space.
