Micro Living

The local, warm and soft almost texture like feel of Maltese Limestone appealed to our overseas client, who wanted to retain as much of the original building fabric as possible, while also highlighting the Maltese charm of the building in a compact and minimalistic manner.

Sticking faithful to tradition, meticulous restoration on the walls was needed while the distinguishing elements that bind the structure together were to be retained. Wrought iron works, timber beams and flagstones provided a contrasting backdrop to an otherwise clean resonant of contemporary design. With the naked walls providing a linear motion to the structure, the detail on the roof allows the building to feel dressed in its purest form – maintaining a local touch throughout the combined sections.

The cosy space allows for a comfortable, and modest lifestyle, where like in its overall look and feel, excess is discarded, replaced with quality and purposeful living.
